start with a category
rappers or producers
then you have a sign up sheet so you can take the names and randomly place them in brackets
then you can do just a song battle where people vote for which song is hotter, or you can have a personal battle where you talk about the other person, but that sometimes gets out of hand.
Then place a dead line on rounds so people who waste time get dropped.
Then winner is the one who makes it through all rounds.
thus ending the tournament.

yea i was saying like for the first round of battles there would be a topic to follow e.g. " Club Beat" or "Ethnic beat" or "Remake of a beat" ya know?

if you want an easy way to vote, you could use the artwork ratings... everyone who enters tags their song with some keyword like "tournament-beats-1" - so we can tell them apart from other random songs on here.
then set a time and day, and whoever has the highest rating % at that point wins! That way voting is open to all members of the site, even if people haven't seen this forum thread.
if you guys can get these going we'll start featuring them in the news on the homepage too...

well I can't say we can 100% prevent any dishonesty, it won't be any more/less secure than if you just did it in the forum here. but that way it'll be open to all of the members of the site. some people may vote on the tracks without even knowing it's a competition. so your results may actually be a little more accurate. (we can only hope, right?)
or, let's all just be honest and have fun without trying to mess with it! haha
